We drove North on Pacific Highway 1 and took in the coastal views. How beautiful blue the Pacific Ocean is....while Malibu was beautiful, too busy for us...and we drove onward to the Sequoia National Forest. We took the "back door" in and took the long winding road......we enjoyed the views but we never thought we were going to see a giant sequoia and then there they were....how beautiful. Tall and majestic and huge. We found the Brewers Ponderosa Lodge and lucky enough we are the only guests here for the night. We have a big room in the deep forest and it is super quiet. The room is so beautiful and the Chili we had for dinner was excellent... Thanks much to them for setting us up for the evening... We are on a limited WiFi so posting pictures tonight is going to be hard. We will try to do that when we get to civilization :) Baxter did not enjoy the back, windy and bumpy roads and he is sacked out as well as Sophie. No wonder we are tired.....it's really 11:30pm back home and only 8:30pm here and super dark.
Night all....onward to Lake Tahoe tomorrow. Long drive tomorrow. What? It's been a long drive. Over 3,000 so far!
