Goal was Brighton Colorado
We left our hotel in Hot
Springs, SD for Colorado. We knew we
would have to stop and have the car checked out. Whirring sound on the back side. We stopped for lunch at a little roadside
park in an almost ghost town of Hawk Springs, Wyoming. They asked for a donation for their little
park. We stopped at a GM Dealership in
Cheyenne, WY and waited about 2 hrs for them to check out the car. So many friendly folks and they even gave
Baxter and Sophie Free Subaru Frisbees.
When they found that we had 3 bad wheel bearings, they said we should go
to Fort Collins, Co where there was a Suzuki dealership that would honor the
warranty..
So
we get here at 4:30pm and are staying in a hotel and Ray is going to take the
car tomorrow at 7:30am to get worked on. We just had 1 wheel bearing fixed
before we left on the trip at home. Why didn't THEY catch the other 3 wheel
bearings? Ray asked them to look the car over good because we were going on an
extended trip. Oh well, I think there are worse places to be stranded and this
hotel is pretty nice :)))). If all La
Quinta’s are like this one, we give them a 2 thumbs up!
Other
than this we are having an awesome time! Meeting up with Ray's cousin Lori and
her husband Otto for dinner tonight. They have to drive over from Brighton
Colorado.
