Aug 22 - Tucumcari NM to Albuquerque NM

Today was a short drive day. We stopped early due to not wanting to pass up the Petroglyph National Park.

We drove through Tucumcari (great old Rt 66 town) and stopped at the dinosaur museum. Ray really liked that. Heading to Albuquerque we got to see a lot of beautiful NM scenery. In Albuquerque we stopped at the Rt 66 Malt shop for a late lunch. They were so nice. Brought out a bowl of water for the doggies. We sat outside. The weather has been wonderful. They also gave the doggies a frozen bone they have on hand. We headed for the hotel for the night. Early to bed, early to rise to see the Petroglyph National Park, Acoma Pueblo, Petrified Forest, Meteor Crater, Two guns death caves. Lucky if we get all that in :)
